1. What we collect
Account details such as your email, subscription status, device identifier, feature usage counts, saved tracker entries, and service logs needed to operate and secure AuthorScout.
2. What we do not collect
We do not sell browsing history. We do not collect bank details, card numbers, unrelated page contents, passwords, or private server credentials.
3. How data is used
Data is used to authenticate your account, enforce plan limits, sync tracked books, prevent abuse, process support requests, and improve reliability.
4. Storage and security
Authentication and account data are stored with Supabase. Requests use encrypted connections and device binding helps prevent shared or stolen access.
5. Payments
Checkout providers process payment details. AuthorScout receives subscription status, not your full card information.

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data by contacting support@authorscout.com.
7. Chrome Web Store limited use
AuthorScout's use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
8. AuthorScout Book Creator (ChatGPT plugin)
AuthorScout Book Creator is a ChatGPT plugin that guides you through creating a book step by step. It does not require an AuthorScout account or sign-in and is not connected to AuthorScout accounts. When ChatGPT uses it, our server receives only the requested book type and step number; it does not receive your name, email, ChatGPT conversation, uploaded files or generated images, and it keeps no record of these requests or stores anything about you. The service runs on Cloudflare, which processes standard connection data such as IP address to deliver and protect it. Your conversation, uploads and generated images are handled by OpenAI under OpenAI's own privacy policy.
